Acceptance of terms
By using DevPaste, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of the service
DevPaste is a browser-based developer tools, documentation, and learning platform. It provides local tools for inspecting, formatting, validating, converting, generating, and learning about developer content.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms to use DevPaste. If you use DevPaste on behalf of an organization, you are responsible for making sure you are allowed to do so.
Local processing and user content
You retain rights to content you enter into DevPaste. Most content is processed locally in your browser, and you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to process that content.
Avoid entering highly sensitive production secrets unless you understand the tool, the browser environment, and the device you are using.
Acceptable use
You may use DevPaste for ordinary developer workflows, learning, debugging, formatting, validation, and local inspection. You must not misuse the service.
- Do not use DevPaste for unlawful activity.
- Do not interfere with the service or bypass security controls.
- Do not distribute malware or abuse hosting infrastructure.
- Do not send automated scraping or excessive traffic that harms availability.
- Do not use the service to violate third-party rights.
No account requirement
Most or all current DevPaste features do not require an account. If account-based features are added later, additional terms or disclosures may apply.
Tool outputs and accuracy
DevPaste outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for production. You must verify results before relying on them.
Security scores, validators, formatters, generators, parsers, and explanations are informational tools. Decoding a JWT does not verify its signature. Generated passwords, tokens, request snippets, schemas, regexes, and code should be reviewed before use.
Security-sensitive tools
JWT generation and verification, password generation, HMAC and hashing tools, API request builders, HTTP header analysis, regex execution, and code generation can affect security decisions.
DevPaste does not replace professional security review, production key management, code review, or compliance review.
Availability and changes
DevPaste features may change, break, be removed, or be discontinued. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
Third-party services and links
DevPaste may use third-party services such as Cloudflare for hosting and security, and Google Analytics if analytics is enabled. DevPaste also links to external documentation and references.
Third-party services and external websites have their own terms and policies.
Intellectual property
DevPaste branding, original UI, documentation, and original content are protected. You retain rights to your own input. Third-party libraries, specifications, references, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
No LICENSE file was present in this repository during the preparation of these Terms, so these Terms do not grant public rights to reuse the repository code beyond rights that may otherwise apply.
Feedback
If you send suggestions, bug reports, or feature ideas, DevPaste may use them to improve the service without creating an obligation to compensate you.
Disclaimer of warranties
DevPaste is provided as is and as available, subject to applicable mandatory law. DevPaste does not promise that the service will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable for a specific purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DevPaste will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
Termination or blocking access
Access to DevPaste may be restricted for abusive, harmful, unlawful, or availability-impacting behavior.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by Romanian law, subject to mandatory consumer protections and applicable jurisdiction rules.
